Academic year’s review. English classes

On the 13th of May, we had an academic year’s review of our English classes. They were many teachers with their students from every school. Everyone was presenting their projects, which they have done throughout the academic year. Angelina, Amalia and I were presenting our projects with miss Hermine. We have done many projects, interviews, and trips. We had a great event with many interesting presentations. I was very curious to know about other groups’ projects because all of us have done different things during the whole year. The whole event was in English. Even the 3rd graders were talking in English, which was really cute and awesome. It was really good to know many other people’s opinions about our projects, trying to talk with them in English. We were reviewing our year and missing all things, that we have gone through. Every year by reviewing our work we see how far we have gone and how far we still have to go next academic year

Being satisfied with what we have

Wall Art Print | grateful | Europosters

People are never satisfied with what they have; they always want something more or something different.

We always want to have more than we have. It’s always that one voice inside you telling you that you can have more and the only bad thing about it, is that not no one can have everything. If we are going to have everything in this world, our life would start to mean nothing. It’s always that feeling that you can have more pushing us forward to work harder. And in this case, it is really good to not be satisfied with what we already have. I don’t mean to not be grateful for everything. Being satisfied and grateful are definitely not the same. So we can grateful for everything, but at the same time, work harder for the better. If it’s just about new clothes or furniture, you definitely have to work with for better ones, but sometimes, there are things, that you just have to be satisfied to have. For example, you have to be satisfied with your parents, your health, your loved ones and your emotions. We have to work every day on ourselves to become better ones, but never forget about being grateful, for what we already have today.

Homework 46

1.Reading Comprehension – Elephants

Elephants are large mammals of the family Elephantidae and the order Proboscidea. Traditionally, two species are recognized, the African elephant and the Asian elephant, although some evidence suggests that African bush elephants and African forest elephants are separate species. Other families of the order Proboscidea, including mammoths and mastodons are now extinct.

Elephants are scattered throughout sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Male African elephants are the largest surviving terrestrial animals and can reach a height of 4 m (13 ft) and weigh 7,000 kg (15,000 lb).

All elephants have several distinctive features the most notable of which is a long trunk or proboscis, used for many purposes, particularly breathing, lifting water and grasping objects. Their incisors grow into tusks, which can serve as weapons and as tools for moving objects and digging. Elephants’ large ear flaps help to control their body temperature. Their pillar-like legs can carry their great weight. African elephants have larger ears and concave backs while Asian elephants have smaller ears and convex or level backs.

One of the biggest threats to elephant populations is the ivory trade, as the animals are poached for their ivory tusks. Other threats to wild elephants include habitat destruction and conflicts with local people. Elephants are used as working animals in Asia. In the past they were used in war; today, they are often put on display in zoos and circuses.

The analysis of «A Service of Love» by O. Henry

What Are the 5 Different Love Languages? – SheKnows

I’m pretty sure that there are going to be people who will think that this story was about lying, cheating and even a toxic relationship, but for me, it was something really beautiful. The story was about a beautiful relationship between two people who really love and care about each other. The evidence of their love was white lies that have been made for loved ones. No matter what, they were able to do everything for each other and for their hobbies. They were ready to do the most unbelievable thing in the world for their art. Art was that one thing that connected them years ago and now they were sure that if there is going to be no art their love would despair too. In the end, they understand that even without art, their love would last forever no matter what. Of course, they lie to each other, but it was not a big deal for husbands. And also, let’s not forgot about a fact that white lies are not toxic ones. Sometimes, everyone lies for their own good. I don’t think that their love becomes less, vice versa, it becomes stronger. And maybe without this lie storey, they wouldn’t overcome the hard days that they had. The fact that they lie to each other was funny in the end because at first it was meant to be a test, but it become a funny memory that they won’t forget.  I really love this story and hope that everyone who reads this, will understand the light part of it because the main meaning was not in a dark and mysterious parts as you might think at first.

Teacher evaluating

5 characteristics of an effective science teacher – from a researcher who trains them

Schools should ask students to evaluate their teachers.

Every day millions of students work with their teachers. Every day students go to school, has their classes. It’s fact that students spend most of their time in school. And at the end of the day, students communicate with teachers for the whole day. In my opinion, it is not fair to evaluate teachers. The directorate should evaluate them before giving them jobs. But if it is necessary to evaluate teachers, it is definitely right to ask students about their opinions. As I already mention, students work with their teachers much more than others. And it is really easy to lie about your work process to the directorate. Of course, they are students who don’t like their teachers and they are going to say some bad things deliberately, but I think that it won’t affect on right opinion. So I would definitely recommend asking students about their opinions.
